2011 CENTRA MUNSTER RUGBY SUMMER CAMPS LAUNCHED

Munster Rugby and Centra, Irelands leading convenience retailer, today launched their 2011 Summer Camp programme in Musgrave Park, Cork with Munster Players Doug Howlett, James Coughlan and Ian Nagle who were joined by some enthusiastic young rugby fans.

This is the fourth year of Centra's sponsorship of the provincial rugby camps. The camps offer young rugby fans an opportunity to improve their skills and techniques with a panel of top coaches. Each camp runs for one full week and offers parents the ideal way to encourage kids to keep fit and healthy during the summer months, while also learning much more about playing one of Ireland's most popular sports.

The Munster Rugby Summer Camps sponsored by Centra will take place in 24 venues across the Province throughout the months of July & August, for boys and girls aged 6 to 13 years.

The cost this year is €85 per child (reduced from €99 last year) and €75 for the second child. All attendees will receive a Munster Rugby Summer Camp Pack which includes:- an Adidas bag, t-shirt, shorts, socks, mouthguard, a match ticket to a pre-season game, attendance certificate and the children's healthy living book 'Bones' written by Brent Pope.

Speaking at the launch Martin Kelleher, Managing Director, Centra said "Centra is delighted to continue our sponsorship of the Munster rugby camps which have become extremely popular with young rugby fans throughout the province. The success of the Irish and provincial teams in recent years has done much to boost the popularity of the sport all over Ireland. It is an opportunity for us to make a very positive contribution to the local communities in which our retailers operate. These summer camps not only encourage children to get involved in sport at an early age, but they also provide a great occasion for children to meet up with their rugby hero's and a chance to learn valuable skills and techniques from a panel of top rugby coaches. As a proud Munster supporter, it would be fantastic to see these camps sponsored by Centra, produce some of our future Munster Rugby stars."
